(MD) (Montgomery Parks) Save the trees and Celebrate National Invasive Species Awareness Week! Join Ellen, Weed Warrior Supervisor, for a non-native, invasive plant removal workday. We will focus on non-native, invasive vines and shrubs, including porcelainberry (Ampelopsis glandulosa var. brevipedunculata), wintercreeper (Euonymus fortunei), English ivy (Hedera helix), Oriental bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus), and bush honeysuckle (mainly Lonicera maackii).
(VA) (Friends of Dyke Marsh) Help protect native plants by pulling and clipping invasive plants. We will train volunteers to identify the five or so target plants.
