(DC) (Rock Creek Conservancy) Please join Rock Creek Conservancy and the National Park Service for a Spotted Lanternfly Egg Spotting event! You may have heard about this invasive insect that has the potential to threaten agricultural crops and spread through natural areas. You will learn about the spotted lantern fly’s life cycle and help track their current extent. During this event, volunteers will scout the Trail 9 Mini-Oasis for spotted lanternfly egg masses and destroy any that we find. No prior experience is needed.
