(DC) (Casey Trees) Join us for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend as Casey Trees teams up with Friends of Anacostia Park for a fun day of service around the Anacostia Skate Park! We will be mulching some of our newly planted trees (planted by our volunteers last year!) around the park along with other organizations who will be conducting various clean up and service activities around the area. Your help with weeding, mulching and watering these vulnerable trees will give them a leg up in becoming an important part of our growing tree canopy.

After learning the tools and techniques, participants will split up into groups and begin caring for trees throughout the park.
