(DC) (Hillwood) After completing our first Big Year of Birding in 2023, we discovered 86 different species of birds throughout the gardens, and we expect to find even more as we continue our research. Join birding expert Samantha Krause as she guides you through the gardens, sharing information about the local population and pointing out beautiful birds along the way.

These walks are open to all skill levels—those new to birding and seasoned birders alike! We encourage you to bring your own binoculars as a limited number of pairs are available for loan.
