(MD) (DC Bird Alliance) Please join us for a bird walk in one of the local gems, Sligo Creek Parkway. Sligo Creek boasts a diversity of habitat where we’re likely to see everything from waterfowl to our backyard song birds to late migrants and even a raptor (or two). This is one of a series of events for Black Birder Week.

Stretches of the parkway are closed on the weekends for pedestrians and bikers, so we’ll meet at the tennis courts between Wayne Avenue and Piney Branch Road, where there is parking, coordinates are, 39.00737, -77.01763.
