(DC) (MD) (Anacostia Watershed Society) The Anacostia Watershed is home to abundant plants and animals, and it takes a village to get out and document them all. A bioblitz is a “Census of the Natural World” where over a short period of time, we will do just that! During the 8th Annual Anacostia River Bioblitz you will have opportunities to explore the natural treasures of the Anacostia River, and engage in community science to help document wild species. Join AWS staff and area naturalists for this four-day event across the watershed, and a special public day of walks and observations at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens on Saturday, September 7th.
