(MD) (Montgomery Parks) Join us for the magic of the full moon for a hike and campfire on each Friday nearest to the full moon. Feel free to bring your own hot dogs or food to warm over the fire, and we’ll provide marshmallows. Please register and pay for adults and children. Ages 10 and up.

(DC) (US Botanic Garden) Have you ever seen a beautiful flower and wished you could preserve it's imprint? Join An-Phuong Ly, textile artist to discover eco-printing, where pigment is transferred from plant to fabric. During this engaging demonstration and drop-in program, you will explore pre-treating the fiber so the pigment can remain lightfast, binding, and steaming the materials.  

(MD) (Montgomery Parks) Visit our Eastern box turtle ambassadors in their outdoor enclosure! Watch them stretch their legs and learn about their behavior, conservation challenges, and the physical features that make them such fascinating reptiles. This is a free, drop-in program for all ages. No registration required.

(VA) (Arlington Parks) The whole family is invited to join us at Long Branch Nature Center for lots of old-fashioned fun. This engaging program will be filled with entertaining activities which may include stories, special animal guests, games, songs and of course, S’mores. (We will provide the marshmallows, chocolate & graham crackers).
